Data Editing - Working in our expanding Payments Group, you will be responsible for overseeing all data collection for PaymentsSource, a new web based payments industry web site, and the allied data products (CID & EFT Data Book) as well as ongoing data collection projects throughout the year. Specifically the Data Editor will help develop data gathering processes and systems for a 25 person editorial team, manage a team of part-time data collectors, identify new data sets to be tracked and incorporated into PaymentsSource as well as interpreting the data for use in the group's publications and newsletters.
The Data Editor will oversee the production of the annual Card Industry Directory and the EFT Data book. In addition, the Data Editor will collaborate with the in-house and offshore staff to ensure data accuracy and completeness, assist in the creation of research reports based on the accumulated data and seek out new sources of industry data from new and existing sources. This individual will also be instrumental in developing the data and querying tools that will trigger story concepts.
A college degree is required as is a proficiency with MS Word, Access and Excel. Some travel required as the Data Editor will attend conferences as needed.
